Dr. Heidi J. Dalzell, PsyD, CEDS, is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Certified Eating Disorders Specialist and iaedp Approved Supervisor and Clinical Director at Bucks Support Services.  Dr. Dalzell brings 20 years of direct eating disorder experience to her role of co-director of the Bucks Eating Support Collaborative. Dr. Dalzell graduated summa cum laude from Immaculata University, where she completed her research on early trauma. She also holds an Ed.M. from Temple University.

Dr. Dalzell has a busy private practice specializing in eating disorders and has a particular interest in the intersection between eating disorders, trauma and LGBT concerns. She has worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings including Eating Disorders Treatment Center and Belmont Center’s Eating Disorder Program. She is also the past coordinator of the Certified Alcohol Counselor Program at Bucks County Community College.

As an avid activist in the area of eating disorders, Dr. Dalzell is active in the International Association for Eating Disorders Professional where she serves on the board. She is also a member of the American Psychological Association, the International Association of Trauma Professionals (IATP), and the EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) International Association.

Dr. Dalzell is also a writer and a speaker at professional and community events. She is trained in eye movement desensitazation and reprocessing (EMDR), Critical Incident Skills Debriefing, the Sanctuary model of trauma treatment, advanced mindfulness techniques and dialectical behavior therapy.

Dr. Dalzell is an interactive and engaging therapist. Her therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address life challenges. She offers a variety of techniques and a personalized approach for each client. With kindness, caring, and compassion, she’ll work with you to help you build on your strengths and achieve your fullest growth and potential.

Dr. Dalzell works with adult and teen individuals and families with all types of Eating Disorders. Dr. Dalzell leads our Parent Support and Multi-Family Groups sessions and supervises therapists in the eating support collaborative and LGBT programs.
