Darby specializes in working with clients who struggle with trauma, eating disorders, addiction, and with the LGBTQ+ community. Darby has experience in various settings which includes both residential and outpatient treatment. Darby received her masters degree in Clinical and Professional Psychology from Chestnut Hill College and is a Licensed Professional Counselor.
Darby’s therapeutic style is grounded in the belief the clients have the ability to grow and change. She follows an empowerment based and eclectic model to therapy. She utilizes a framework grounded in psychodynamic, somatic based, internal family systems, and cognitive behavioral therapy. Darby is also trained in EMDR. She is a certified trauma treatment professional through International Association of Trauma Professionals. She works through a HAES (Health at Every Size) and body neutrality lens.
Darby strives to cultivate a warm, welcoming, affirming, and safe environment for each of her clients. She believe in building a mutually collaborative relationship with her clients and assists them in their journey to healing.
