Debbie Lake, LPC is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling from Cairn University. In addition to providing individual therapy at Bucks Support Services, she currently works at Youth Advocate Programs, serving as a mobile therapist and Behavioral Specialist Consultant to children and young adults dealing with trauma.

Debbie has a particular passion for treating eating disorders across the life spectrum, including working with women in midlife. Debbie is active in training in this field and in the local chapter of the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals. Debbie’s background as a gymnast and dancer positions her well to appreciate the complexities of body image. She is a 24-year veteran of coaching competitive gymnastics. She appreciates all body sizes and is HAES aware (Health at Every Size).

Debbie also has training and through the state of PA in Applied Behavioral Analysis and experience working with individuals in the Autism Spectrum. She enjoys working with people who are on the Spectrum, or who experience social skills needs or social anxiety.

Debbie has training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), an evidence-based psychotherapy used in treating mood disorders, suicidal ideation, and for change in behavioral patterns such as eating disorders, self-harm, and substance abuse. Debbie also uses Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) in her approach. She is eclectic and assesses the best fit to meet individual client needs.

Debbie is happily married and is the mom to 3 amazing teens and young adults!
