She/Her
Deborah is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Rider University accompanied by a Master’s degree in education and curriculum development. She brings extensive experience working with adults facing anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, chronic pain, co-occurring diagnoses, and major life transitions. Her clinical work includes experience in intensive outpatient and residential treatment settings, where she supported individuals navigating complex mental health and substance use challenges.
Deborah is trained in EMDR and works with clients processing trauma while integrating somatic and mindfulness-based healing strategies. She also works with families and couples, helping improve communication, strengthen relationships, and support healthy parenting dynamics. Her multidisciplinary background as an educator allows her to integrate psychoeducation and practical tools that empower clients to apply insight beyond the therapy room.
Deborah’s approach is person-centered, evidence-based, and informed by coaching principles. In the early phase of therapy, she focuses on building a strong therapeutic foundation through empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard—listening without judgment and honoring each client’s lived experience. As the relationship develops, she collaborates with clients to actively build skills for emotional regulation, resilience, and intentional change. Therapy becomes a space not only for healing, but for growth, self-discovery, and forward movement.
She integrates empirically supported modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), solution-focused techniques, EMDR, mindfulness practices, and somatic strategies. Deborah tailors treatment to uncover each client’s unique strengths, goals and values, supporting an expanded sense of self-concept and improved life satisfaction.
Deborah believes people are far more capable of change than they often realize. Her goal is to serve as a collaborative partner and personal advocate—helping clients build a healthier relationship with their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while creating a clear path toward self-actualization and lasting well-being.
